Delivery platforms such as Uber Eats and Just Eat take a percentage of every order. In return they bring visibility with new customers and – depending on the plan – couriers. Uber Eats publishes 32% with Uber couriers and 15% with own delivery or pickup for Switzerland, plus a CHF 600 activation fee. Just Eat publishes no Swiss rates; media reports mention about 10–15% with own delivery and up to a third with Just Eat couriers.
Model 2: monthly subscription without commission (own ordering system)
With your own ordering system you pay a fixed monthly price, however many orders come in. Guests order on your own website or by QR code, and the guest data is yours. You organise delivery yourself or with a partner. Swiss vendors publish prices between roughly CHF 29 and CHF 249 per month; features (website, QR menu, table ordering, POS, reservations) differ a lot.
Model 3: free base fee with commission
Some vendors charge no base fee and take a smaller commission per order instead (for example 5% or 6.9%). That pays off with very few online orders; from a few thousand francs of online sales per month a subscription is usually cheaper.
